Timeline
- 2024-04-23: Apple’s App Store listing describes Delta as an all-in-one emulator for iOS and iPadOS (Apple).
- 2026-10-22: 9to5Mac reports that Delta launched its 2.0 version (9to5Mac).
Details (as Reported)
The app now has controller skins designed and optimized for every iPhone Duo pose (9to5Mac). They include Nintendo DS layouts that use the full size of the inner display (9to5Mac). With the device partly folded in book mode in portrait, the layouts span the crease (9to5Mac).
The developers also made sure the app reflows on the outer screen when the Duo is closed in portrait (9to5Mac). Folding the Duo shut puts the DS to sleep automatically, just as closing a real DS console does (9to5Mac).
9to5Mac points to a trick in landscape split view alongside another app (9to5Mac). Because the app exposes the bottom half of the virtual DS as a custom keyboard view, the system lets that keyboard stretch across the full width of the screen (9to5Mac).
The premium version is unlocked with an In-App Purchase subscription through the App Store, now available worldwide (9to5Mac). In the US, EU, Brazil and Japan, users can also support the app directly through Patreon (9to5Mac).
Apple’s App Store listing says Delta supports save states, cheats, RetroAchievements and custom controller skins (Apple). Delta Sync works with both Google Drive and Dropbox (Apple). The listing also states that Delta is in no way affiliated with Nintendo (Apple).
